Amazing man, India is surely coming out of its shell and might rule the space industry with good technology at lower cost. We might see smaller countries outsourcing their mission to piggyback on Indian space missions so all the countries in the world can benefit just like India is providing cheaper medicines to African nations against the wishes of big pharma who would rather people die and suffer than provide cheaper medicines. Way to go India!!!

I hope everyone knows that the American moon missions were faked in a studio. Here's a link to some of the proof.

have u seen the footage of cctv cameras in the nigts. it is always b/w. cctv footage by infrared cams are cant be in colour, because of absence of light, which helps to create the colours. same technology is applied over here.

stop being so smug and full of yourself! Read this, "NASA Administrator Mike Griffin and Indian Space Research Organization Chairman G. Madhavan Nair signed an agreement today to put two NASA scientific instruments on India's maiden voyage to the moon". Indians did carry two payloads from NASA to moon. If you've already explored everything worth exploring on the moon, what were the two payloads for?

I prefer to disagree with you. Even after Americans sent man on moon they were still not sure that there was water on moon, until Indian Chaandrayan1 moon mission confirmed it.This was confirmed on 24 September 2009, when Science Magazine reported that Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) on Chandrayaan-1 detected water on the Moon.
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) has selected ISRO's Chandrayaan-1 mission as one of the recipients of its annual AIAA SPACE 2009 awards

India plans a Manned Mission to Moon by 2025. I hope it works out well, I don't know about other Nations but as an Indian I would definitely love to see an Indian land on the Moon and plant a Flag of India on the Moon.
Go India ! Before anyone criticize India, They should remember that India only got it's independence roughly 50 years ago and has already made this much progress ! I can't imagine what India would achieve 50 years from now.

@gsrikar Yes you are right.. but most of our books were stored in Nalanda Vishwavidyala which was burnt down by invaders.. those books held the knowledge of various technologies even Nuclear Weapons(Brahmaastra). We would have been 100 times better than any other country only we had Nalanda!

@ziggycat999 moon is worthless? worthless? Are you nuts?. The moon collects H3( helium 3), from the sun and has been collecting it for billions of years. H3 burns up in the earth 's atmosphere but is collected on the moon. H3 is the future fuel for fusion reactors. All major countries are racing to the moon to be able to gather and ship back this stuff. Around 15 tons of H3 will be required to power whole of USA for 1 year.

Sorry I meant to say "Helium 3" for point (3)....
It is rare on Earth, and is sought for use in nuclear fusion research. The abundance of helium-3 is thought to be greater on the Moon (embedded in the upper layer of regolith by the solar wind over billions of years)

1) And these are the first steps required to move towards having a permanent human presence on the moon.
2) More detailed 3D topographic and mineralogical mapping of the moon
3) Eventually position to harvest potentially valuable energy resources like Helium 2 for our Mankind’s ever growing energy needs.
4) Not to mention the obvious... for India to indigenously develop and prove the technology required for more complex space exploration.
